Expertise with primary sources allows Librarians to bring tangible added value to collaborative standards-based teaching and to increase student engagement and critical thinking. Session provides a student framework for primary source analysis and shows example lessons for elem/middle/high school. Includes hands-on work designing primary source centered lesson. We’ll share our experience building primary sources into our K-12 curriculum. Resources include PA Photos+Docs, Digital Public Library of America, curated list of smaller collections.
